Style with Blooms is an inspiring and creative course for all of you who adore flowers all year round, the shapes, the colours, the scents and the happiness that they bring to us, and they do don’t they? They are that finishing touch on the table, the splash of colour on a mantle, or the pretty posy on your bedside.
This course will give you lovely flower fans some time for yourselves, those precious moments where you are doing something for you. Whether it’s a snatched 10 minutes arranging some blooms from the local florist or foraging on a dog walk. I’m going to be giving you permission to spend some quality time to unleash your own creativity - yes, I strongly believe we are all creative - and this course will show you how to take those steps towards finding yours whilst giving you plenty of enjoyment at the same time. It’s about discovering your own style whilst creating something beautiful that you can be proud of.
"Style with blooms has given me a whole load of fresh, new ideas about what I can do with blooms and how I can display them. It’s easy to get used to doing things the same way and this course has shaken up not only my styling but also my vase collection! The way Sophie teaches is from example. Her directions are clear and easy to follow and her photography makes you want to buy a fresh bouquet everyday so you can have a flower play"
Emma Morton-Turner, Interior Stylist

Hello, I'm Sophie and I've been an interior stylist and journalist for the last 18 years working on many of the UK's top national magazines. In every shoot I've ever done flowers have always been the finishing touch, that burst of colour and life - and at home I can't live without them! So this led me to writing this course, so I can share my flower styling knowledge to all you fellow flower lovers out there who hanker after some floral fun!
During this first week we delve into the importance of colour - what it means to you, what you like/dislike and how to find your styling style.
In this week we get down to the nitty gritty - how to source your flowers, the basics on flower care, how to choose the right vase and what props to use.
One of the most important aspects of styling whether it's for your home only or for instagram, is composition. You'll learn how to arrange flowers and display them, and how to compose them for a photo.
For our last week together I show you how to put together a seasonal wreath, a floral wall and giving flowers as a gift.
